Better Than All Night Filk-Karaoke!!!
That's because we kick everyone out before midnight. Yes, folks, once again, it's time for the Parallax Second Productions auditions. This year we will be performing Grease Wars, inspired by the filk song of the same title by the Great Luke Ski. Combining the best (or worst) of Grease and Star Wars, it is shaping up as a fine travesty--Parsec Style. You could be more people in one night than Sybil. Auditions April 27, 7pm to 9 pm at *A Secret Location, To Be Announced. Headshots, Bribes and Prepared Monologues accepted, but not required. You will read from the script (copy provided) and sing during your audition. There are non-singing parts for those with all the musical abilities of our curs--- err, beloved director. If you wanna play with us, but just can't make this time slot, please email ParsecPlays@parsec-sff.org to make other arrangements. Too shy for stage, but want in on the hilarity? Wanna paint wacky signs or create zany set pieces? We also need crew--stage hands and set techs. Caution: you may get carried away and end up on stage after all! All company members (cast and crew) should be available for 2 rehearsals/week between April 30 and Confluence (July 28), and for a tech rehearsal to be held early in July at a location to be disclosed, though crew and characters appearing in fewer scenes will be scheduled less often. Your availability will be a consideration for casting. Everyone in the company (cast & crew) will be expected to contribute tangibly to the production by helping with or creating one or more of the following items: Humor-Impaired signs, Scene Titles, publicity pieces, set pieces, backdrops, costumes, any props that must be created, handbills and/or souvenirs, in accordance w/ the production schedule and creative guidelines. |
